Nachos… there is something about them that makes them my go to comfort food…
Whether the crunchiness, the different tastes… the cheese, oh the mounds of cheese.
Do I care about how many calories are in a bowl of nachos? Not a jot!

Recently we attended the annual Ramsbottom Festival and were treated to a weekend filled with awesome live music and family fun. The kids had a fantastic time and we were so lucky with it literally being on our doorstep!
Here is Jimi Goodwin, formerly of The Doves, pictured performing his set on stage.

Look what Stork have sent me to make the current week’s Great British Bake Off Technical Challenge!
It was a Kouign Amann… I am going in… wish me luck!

Food… oh I absolutely love food… give my savoury over sweet any day.
For me, an absolute treat is Afternoon Tea… who does not like freshly baked scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream?
We were able to fill up on glorious food recently on our Scarborough break away at the Ox Pasture Hall Hotel.

One of my all time favourite and go to meals to cook is a simply puff pasty tart, filled with delicious bits and bats found in my fridge.
Roasted peppers, onions, chorizo, ham, bacon lardons, pineapple, tomatoes and cheese… it was simply divine!

My Father has the luxury of amazing weather, fortunately living in France. His vegetable allotment is fantastic and I only wish I had the patience and weather to grow my own vegetables!
In true French form… he even has several strings of onions!

The rather stunning, disused train station, based in Spain that once ran through to France. Opened on 18th July 1928, CanFranc is steeped in history and was widely used in World War 2. Definitely a place ticked off on my bucket list!
More of the images I took at CanFranc can be viewed over at Sim’s Life.
