The rather stunning, disused train station, based in Spain that once ran through to France. Opened on 18th July 1928, CanFranc is steeped in history and was widely used in World War 2. Definitely a place ticked off on my bucket list!
More of the images I took at CanFranc can be viewed over at Sim’s Life.
What a striking picture! So atmospheric. I love discovering gems like this. x
Thank you so much!! There are more images I took over at http://simslife.co.uk/2014/09/08/canfranc-abandoned-train-station-north-eastern-spain/
I wish I could have included every picture I took, they all tell a story!x
this looks absolutely stunning and such a fascinating place.
oh wow, this is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit. Was it as amazing as it seems?
Oh yes and more! I could have spent all day wandering around there quite happily – shame we didn’t get the chance to go inside!
What a beautiful picture. Going over to Sims Life to see the rest of them.
I have only managed to publish several of the 100’s of photos I took – I really want to transfer some onto canvas – they are too beautiful to only view on my laptop!
Beautiful building
Unfortunately the pictures really do not do it the justice it deserves, it is stunning!
I can’t believe that’s not used! What a wonderful piece of architecture, and such a shame to let it go derelict.
Thanks for linking up to Project 365.
I know!! It is so sad, such a beautiful building. The pictures do not show that the other side of the station is the exact duplicate… it is stunning!
